My Story

I have always loved music. So much so that I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Music, in addition to a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies from Kentucky Christian University. I have also always loved working with and helping others, so I returned to Kentucky Christian University to receive my Master of Arts in Christian Leadership, focused in ministry.

When I discovered music therapy, I found a way to combine my two passions: music and helping people. So again I attended University of Kentucky and received an equivalency degree in Music Therapy. Currently, I am obtaining my Master’s degree in Music Therapy through University of Kentucky, and also completing my thesis on using Music Therapy to work with family units.

Throughout my training and career, I have had the opportunity to work with people with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities, residents in nursing homes, residents in psychiatric hospitals, families recovering from trauma, and people in substance abuse recovery. I have worked with clients both in group settings as well as with individual clients, or small family groups.

As a resident of Scott county, I am happy to be providing services to Georgetown, as well as the surrounding areas! I have fallen in love with Music Therapy, the fascinating science that supports it, and most importantly the changes I see in people’s lives when it is implemented into their therapeutic journey. I am extremely grateful and excited for the opportunity to share music therapy with you, and with our community.
